Who is Eleni Malami?

Eleni is a print designer based in London originally from Athens, Greece.  Following her graduation from Central Saint Martins in Fashion Design she has been working for the British label of L.K. Bennett where she has been evolving and developing her thoughts and ideas. She recently created a premium range of silk scarves alongside some prints.

One of her main subjects of interest is that of recreation, challenging the balance between traditional and contemporary objects while exploring the wild nature of perception. Nothing is ever black or white and one dimensional. There are as many ways to interpret a concept, an object or a situation as the citizens of this world.

Her first silk scarves collection is named Botanical Renaissance, demonstrating her take on the very traditional technique of botanical drawings. The majority of the print artworks available in the shop have formed the bases for the silk scarf collection.

As far as the silk cotton line, this is dedicated to that child that every one of us is hiding inside him, but he is not allowed to release and express at most times. Spontaneous and instinctive drawings come together in a vibrant & youthful collection that is all about fun!

All artworks have been hand drawn and painted in Eleni's home studio in Hackney.
